Because the Amphibian Man is based on the Gill-man from Creature from the Black Lagoon, as well as the 2017 film being a unique retelling remake of it, fans can consider this AU an alternative to Monster AU, as well as Beauty and the Beast AU for the love story side of it has a similar theme of the two lovers and the said fairy tale.
