The Nightmare Before Christmas AU is an AU in the fandom where the Big Four play roles from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. This is a sub-scenario to Tim Burton AU.

About the AU[]

In this AU, the members of the Big Four are portrayed as characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas, most commonly as the Pumpkin King and his lover: Jack Skellington and Sally.

The Halloween monster residents of Halloween Town, can easily make this AU an alternative to Monster AU and Ghost AU. Just as the manga adaptation of the film, can even make this AU an alternative with Manga AU. While The Nightmare Before Christmas being one of the recurring Disney worlds in the Kingdom Hearts series can also have it as an alternative with Kingdom Hearts AU.

The Big Four[]

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III[]

When paired with Jack in Hijack scenarios, he plays the part of Sally due to the both of them longing for something grander. On some rare occasion Hiccup is seen as the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington.

Jack Frost[]

Due to his shared name with the eponymous character, Jack Frost is most often seen playing the part of Jack Skellington, the skeletal marking on his body painted on rather than him being an actual skeleton. There has also been rare occasion when Jack is cast as a male version of Sally.

Merida DunBroch[]

In Jarida and Mericcup scenarios, fans like to portray her as Sally. There have also been rare occasions when Merida is cast as a female Jack Skellington.

Rapunzel Corona[]

Rapunzel plays the part of Sally. They both have similar hairstyles, an overprotective parent that values them for their own selfish reasons, and a dream for something more.

Pitch Black[]

Being the Boogeyman and with Jack Frost commonly seen as Jack Skellington, Pitch is portrayed as the gamboling boogie man Oogie Boogie. His lair can easily serve as Oogie's lair.

Hamish, Hubert and Harris[]

Being a group of three young, trouble makers easily casts them as Lock, Shock, and Barrel. They can also be cast as some of other children in Halloween Town, like the Corpse Kid, Winged Demon and the young Mummy.

Count Dracula[]

Dracula and his family can serve as the Vampires that resides in Halloween Town. As well as the other monsters from Hotel Transylvania, can serve as the town's other Halloween monster residents.

Nicholas St. North[]

Since North is already Santa Claus, he can easily be portrayed as the Santa Claus that resides in Christmas Town. Just as Bunny is seen as the pink Easter Bunny from the film.

E. Aster Bunnymund[]

Since Bunny is already the Easter Bunny, he can easily be portrayed as the pink Easter Bunny, that resides in Easter Town. Just as North is commonly seen as the Santa Claus from the film.

Queen Elsa[]

Elsa is commonly seen as Sally, when Hiccup or Jack is the Pumpkin King. She is also seen as a female Jack Skellington, when Anna is Sally.

Princess Anna[]

Fans have cast Anna with the role of Sally, due to the Elsanna, Hiccanna, Janna and Hanna parings.

Prince Hans[]

For the Hanna pairing, fans portray Hans as Jack Skellington.

Manolo Sánchez[]

Manolo, in his Calaca form, can portray him as Jack Skellington. As well as both Jack and Manolo stepping into a colorful realm and dreaming of a life that is different to the one their living.

Fear[]

Due to the NervousTears pairing, fans portray the purple emotion as Jack Skellington.

Sadness[]

Due to the NervousTears pairing, fans portray the blue emotion as Sally.

Because of his skeletal form, Héctor can easily be portrayed as the Pumpkin King Jack Skellington.

Toothiana[]

When the the Guardians are cast as characters from the Halloween-Christmas film together and for the Frostbite pairing (as Jack Frost is commonly seen as Jack Skellington), Toothiana is portrayed as Sally.

Sanderson Mansnoozie[]

Sandy is commonly seen as the Mayor of Halloween Town, which might be due to the short height of the two characters and their friendship with the main protagonist (that have Jack as their first name). Fans have also cast him as Zero, for fun.

Elves[]

North commonly seen as the film's version of Santa Claus, can easily make his small, non-toy making helpers as the Elves that reside in Christmas Town.

Baby Tooth[]

Jack Frost commonly seen as Jack Skellington, her small size and the bond that the two share, can have Baby Tooth as a female, ghost fairy version of Zero.

Queen Elinor[]

Merida's role as Sally, sometimes has fans portraying Elinor as a female version of Dr. Finkelstein. From how both the Queen and Scientist acted hard and even what appears to be controlling towards their daughter and creation.

Mavis Dracula[]

With Mavis being a vampire, that is one of the most common Halloween monsters, she can easily be placed as one of the vampire residences of Halloween Town. Beside the other vampires from the world of Hotel Transylvania. There have also been rare occasions when Mavis has been cast as Sally.
