The Spectacular Six (not to be confused with The Super Six) is a crossover between six CGI animated movies consisting of Rise of the Guardians, Tangled, Brave, How to Train Your Dragon, The Lorax and Hotel Transylvania. Many fans consider it as an extension of the Big Four fandom. In this crossover, the main characters are Rapunzel Corona, Merida DunBroch, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, the Once-ler, Jack Frost, and Mavis Dracula.
About the Fandom[]
Exact origins of the EU are unknown, but the two additional characters seem to have been added around the end of 2012, when the RotBTD crossover first became popular. Since Once-ler and Mavis were both popular characters from 2012 films, and since they both have similar themes to the Big Four characters, many fans decided to add them to the crossover. In fan-fiction, this exact group is uncommon, since Once-ler and Mavis are usually considered side characters. However, it is present in many other forms such as videos and songfics. The EU even has its own shipping meme, as well as its own group on deviantART. Additionally, a popular idea for the Spectacular Six is to have them represent the Mane Six from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Although the Spectacular Six is not as popular as other EUs, is it still very present in the fandom, and Once-ler and Mavis are two of the most common side characters found.
