Peculiar AU (also known as Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children AU) is a relatively new AU (Alternate Universe) within the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons fandom. In the AU, Rapunzel, Merida, Hiccup and Jack Frost are portrayed as peculiar children from Ransom Riggs' best selling novel. While not relatively known, it is slowly gaining popularity. This could also be a sub-scenario for Time Travel AU.
About this AU[]
In this AU, members of the fandom are portrayed as peculiars/syndrigastis, that exit in the world of Ransom Riggs' novels that are based on old unique photographs that inspired the story, as well as a base for the novel's characters and their world.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III[]
His friendship with Toothless and his training and riding skills with dragons can make his peculiarity to have something to do with them, like transforming himself into dragon, communicate with dragons, possessing dragon like wings, wielding or breathing fire. Hiccup's peculiarity could even have something to do with fire or flying, due to his flightsuit or his times flying with Toothless, while his fire powers can be based on the Inferno or somehow be connected to it.
Fans have also cast Hiccup as Jacob "Jake" Portman, a Peculiar that can see the Hollows and uses his ability to help him keep the children in Miss Peregrine's care safe.
Jack Frost[]
Being able to fly and make ice, easily makes Jack a Peculiar; with air or ice as his peculiarity. Being unseen by those who don't believe in him can also have his peculiarity to have something to do with invisibility, much like Millard Nullings's. He'll most likely be in Toothiana's care, should she be portrayed as a Ymbryne and be living in a time loop in Burgess.
Since peculiarity runs in families its possible that his sister can also be portrayed as a peculiar and posses the same peculiarity that he has, just like the Bruntley siblings, Bronwyn and Victor. Which could have Jamie and Sophie possessing the same peculiarity that Jack is given, since many believe that the two are Jack and his sisters' descendants.
Fans have also cast him as Jacob "Jake" Portman for the Jackunzel and Jelsa pairings. While Jack's flying ability could be used as a means to place him as a genderbend Emma Bloom (from Tim Burton's film version).
Merida DunBroch[]
Merida's peculiarity will mostly have something to do with her archery skills, bears, the Wisps or fate. For her archery, her peculiarity will mostly give her the ability to see far away objects like the targets that she has set for herself. Since peculiarity runs in families and her mother and brothers were transformed into bears and back in Brave, can also mean that her peculiarity can have her turning into a bear herself with the ability of shapeshifting. Her journey to change her fate could even have her peculiarity ability could have her foreseeing or predict other people's fate, while Merida's encounter with the Wisps can also give her the ability to see and speak with spirits; since Mor'du's human soul became one after his death.
Rapunzel Corona[]
Having the power to make her hair glow and heal since she was born, easily makes Rapunzel a Peculiar; with light or healing as her peculiarity. Her congestion to the Golden Flower and commonly has powers over Earth in the Elements AU can also have her peculiarity to have something to do with plants, much like Fiona Frauenfeld's. Her element in the Elements AU is also fire and her connection to the sun can also her peculiarity have something to do with fire, like Emma/Olive's.
Fans have also cast her as Emma Bloom (from Tim Burton's film version) for the Eugunzel, Rapunzler and Jackunzel pairings and for reveling one of her "abilities" underwater.

Queen Elsa[]
Having her ice powers since she was born, easily makes Elsa a Peculiar; with ice as her peculiarity. Elsa would be scared of her powers and herself, until Miss Peregrine or the ymbryne that is looking after her helps Elsa to see the beauty within her gift and how to use and control it with love and instead of fear.
Wearing gloves to keep her powers in check and from freezing everything she touches, makes her an ice version of Olive (from Tim Burton's film), while her blond hair and the "facing the ocean" scene in the second Frozen movie could have her as (Tim Burton's film of) Emma Bloom (as the original books have Emma as the one with the fire powers and Elsa has been given powers over fire in Elements AU). Others, however, see her as Miss Peregrine. Her bird form can be of a artic or winter bird, due to her icy powers and the location of her ice castle.
Toothiana[]
Watching over the children of the world as a Guardian of Childhood, possessing a bird-like form and being female, Tooth is seen as Miss Peregrine or a Ymbryne that takes the form of a hummingbird, as she looks after and protects Peculiar Children. Jack, Jamie Bennett, their sisters, Jamie's friends and human versions of Baby Tooth and some of her other fairies can be some of the children that she looks after, while her time loop that she keeps them safe in can be hidden in Burgess.
Valka[]
Hiding and protecting dragons from those who wish to harm them and being a strong female can easily cast Valka as a Ymbryne, her bird can be an owl to resemble Cloudjumper's owl-like features. Humanized versions of some of the dragons that she looks after, along with her son, his friends and their dragons can serve as some of the Peculiar Children that she's protects from Hollows.
Pitch Black[]
Wanting to make every child fear him so he can be seen can easily cast him a one of the dark Peculiars that was involved in Mr. Barron's experiment, with controlling dark, black sand as his Peculiarity. His Nightmares can easily serve as Hollowgasts (or best known as Hollows), as they help him to track down peculiar children.
Mother Gothel[]
Wanting to stay young forever and using Rapunzel's ability for her own personal use, can easily make her one of the dark Peculiars that was involved in Mr. Barron's experiment and one of a few that managed to gain back her true form. Turing old to young countless times can easily make her peculiarity to have something to do with "ageing", like stealing youth from others, people and plants; since she used the golden flower and Rapunzel to keep herself young.
Despite the fact that Gothel is a villain who abandoned her own biological child for one with a magical ability, it hasn't a few fans from casting Gothel as Miss Peregrine.
Moana Waialiki[]
Moana's peculiarity will mostly have something to do with water, due to her friendship with the Ocean. It could have her being able to control and wield it to her command and being able to breath underwater. Since Peculiarity runs it families its possible for Gramma Tala to have the same peculiar ability, while it skipped a generation with Tui. The friendship Moana formed with Te Fiti can also have her peculiarity to have something to do with plants, much like Fiona Frauenfeld's; while the goddess's Lava Demon self could make Moana's peculiarity have something to do with fire.
Mavis Dracula[]
Mavis's vampire powers and abilities can be used as her ability as a Peculiar. Her peculiarity could have her as a shapeshifter - due to her ability to become a bat and mouse (seen in Hotel Transylvania 2) -, or somehow be connected to blood; that doesn't have to involve drinking it. It could allow her to tell the type of blood, use a cut to track and find people or sometimes danger, or could use her own to donate it to others as a type of healing power; and could generate more blood in her body to make up for the amount she gave away.
Since peculiarity runs in families its possible that Mavis can inherit hers from her mother or her father's side of family, since little is known about Martha's family while Dracula's family was introduced in Hotel Transylvania 2 and the Hotel Transylvania TV series. Dennis could even have inherited his peculiar powers from his mother. In order to Dennis to be born, Mavis move to another loop, so her child could grow within her belly and have the chance to grow from a baby to a kid or even to a teen.
Kubo[]
Kubo using magic with his shamisen to bring his origamis to life, it can easily have him as a Peculiar with a telekinesis-like ability as his peculiarity or could have a peculiarity that are somewhat similar to Enoch O'Connor's deadrising ability, but with origamis. Due to Peculiarity runs it families its possible for Satiaru (aka Monkey) to have the same peculiar ability, since Kubo has no doubt inherited his magic from his mother.
Norman Babcock[]
Norman's ability to see and communicate with the dead can easily be featured him as Peculiar, while his ghost seeing and speaking to ability can serve as his peculiarity. Since peculiarities runs in families and Norman had got his abilities from his mother's side of their family, even though she or Norman's older sister didn't inherit it, and the gift to speak with the dead dates back to their ancestor Agatha Prenderghast. Who's young age and ability can also make her a Peculiar child as well.
