Pacific Rim AU is a fairly new AU in the Big Four fandom. In this AU, the big four battle giant monsters that come from the ocean in giant mechs to fight back on behalf of humanity. This is also an offshoot of Sci-Fi AU.
About this AU[]
Spawned from fanart, this AU places the characters in a world where humanity fights off the Kaiju (giant monsters that appear from dimensional portals in the ocean) in Jaegers (giant robots) for the fate of the human race.
This AU is based off of the action/sci-fi film Pacific Rim.
The Jaegers being large robots can have AU an alternative to Robot AU, while Japan commonly using Kaiju monsters in films about them could also have it has an alternative with both Monster AU and Dragon Warriors AU.

Tamatoa's large form, residing under the waves and being a antagonist, can easily have him as a Kaiju.
Kentucky Kaiju[]
The Kentucky Kaiju being based on a Kaiju movie monster, and Fred revealing his requested replica of it to his friends by having it emerg from SF bay, can easily have it as a Kaiju that exists in the world of Pacific Rim. As both creatures are based and named after gigantic monsters that are used and featured in Japanese films of them.
While being a giant mech, as the Kentucky Kaiju 2.0 was piloted by both Hiro and Fred in "Countdown to Catastrophe", could feature it as a type of Jaeger.
