Newsies AU is a AU (Alternate Universe) within the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons fandom. In the AU, Rapunzel, Merida, Hiccup and Jack Frost are featured in the musical of the 1899 newsboys strike Newsies.

Spawning from fanart, this AU places the four (and other extra characters) as characters from Newsies. As well as being placed in the timeline where the story takes place, and as people that took part in the New York City Newsboys' Strike of 1899. The event that the story is based on.

Because of his prosthetic leg, fans would most likely have Hiccup as Crutchie. While Hiccup being a leader in-canon, could have him as Jack Kelly.
Jack Frost[]
Due to his name and personality, Jack Frost can be portrayed as Jack Kelly. As they both took part in a fight that has them standing up and helping children.

For the Jackunzel pairing, Rapunzel is cast as Katherine Plumber.

Since they were both played by Jeremy Jordan, fans portray Varian as Jack Kelly. As well as commonly featuring him as a newsie/newspaper delivery boy.

Since fans commonly have Varian as a young Jack Kelly, it can have Vassandra fans portray Cassandra as Katherine Plumber.
Queen Elsa[]
For the Jelsa pairing, Elsa is cast as Katherine Plumber.
