Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons Wiki

Anime AU (also known as Manga AU) is a AU (Alternate Universe) within the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons fandom. In the AU, Rapunzel, Merida, Hiccup and Jack Frost are featured as manga/anime versions of themselves or as characters from animes and mangas. As it is not canon, ideas for this AU are shown through fanfiction, fanart, and other fan-made works.

About the AU

This AU portrays the four as anime and manga versions of themselves, as their stories are turned into a manga or anime, or are given that kind of setting and style to them. They can also be portrayed characters from known animes and mangas that are already in the fandom's AUs or are yet to be added; as they are placed in their worlds or are dressed up for a Anime/Manga comic-con.

Since most Animes and Mangas takes place in modern times, the past and even the future, as well as focusing on the worlds of science fiction, fantasy, supernatural and of the paranormal. Along with drawing from fairy tales, the world of monsters, vampires, demons, spirits, magic, darkness, superheroes, time travel and such; the Big Four and other members of the fandom can easily fit in many of the known Anime/Manga worlds, or be placed in one of their very own. Some of the fandom's female characters who have magical-like powers, like Elsa, Rapunzel and the Madrigal women, or are superheroines, like Violet, GoGo and Honey Lemon, can be featured as Magical girls; which are a type of anime girls that are part of and used in amines like Sailor Moon, Pretty Cure, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and many more.

Popular Anime/Manga AUs

Featured Characters

The Big Four

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III

Jack Frost

Merida DunBroch

Rapunzel Corona

The manga version of the Tangled, can have Rapunzel as the "manga Rapunzel" from the adaptation manga. Since some cartoons have an anime-like style to them, fans can easily turn or present the Tangled TV series as an anime. Rapunzel's need to help people, is sometimes cast as a superheroine in superhero crossovers and having a magical ability, can feature her as a Magical Girl; of any known anime that focuses on Magical Girls or can be placed in one of her own.

Extra Characters

Big Hero 6

The manga version of the Big Hero 6 film can have the team as their manga selves. As they are brought out a bit differently in the altered manga story then they were in the film. Since animes and mangas originated in Japan, along with the Japanese themes that were used in the original Marvel comic book series and the 53th Disney classic film, its cartoon TV series can easily have fans present it as an anime or have altered its style to make it one. As there are cartoons that have an anime-like style to them.

Karmi's fanfiction of her and the team, in the episode "Fan Friction", is featured as a Chibi anime, along with the shorts that are of the same Chibi style; with other characters from the series. In which could have fans featuring the team as their Chibi selves/versions, for fun.

Tinker Bell

The manga versions of Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue and some of the Disney Fairies books, can have Tinker Bell and her friends as the manga versions of their selves from the adaptation mangas.

Vanellope von Schweetz

Since Vanellope's appearance is close to that of a Japanese/Anime influences style of a Chibi, she can easily be featured as an anime or manga character.

Sugar Rush Racers

Since their appearances is close to that of a Japanese/Anime influences style of Chibis, they can easily be featured as anime or manga characters. In the Japanese version of Wreck-It Ralph, there is a young Japanese style racer that that goes by Minty Sakura and is the Japanese version of Minty Zaki.

Queen Elsa

In February of 2021, a Frozen II kids manga was released.

Princess Anna

In February of 2021, a kids manga of Frozen II was released.

Monsters and Demons

Because most manga and animes commonly have demons, other types of monster or mythical-like creatures as part of its story plot and world, many of the fandom's monster and creature-like characters can easily be featured in this AU.

Mei Lee

Because of the way that the creators of Turning Red were fans of anime during their teen years and made sure that the Pixar film pays homage to anime through the anime-like moments they made Mei and other characters display through their face expression, along with a few other anime-like moments or hidden references in the 2022 film, fans can easily feature Mei in an Anime setting AU. As there have been quite a few fans who have already featured her in Magical Girl related AUs, like Sailor Moon AU and Tokyo Mew Mew AU.
